"Las Vegas--Here the choices for entertainment and dining never end

By Vern Langrasse, The Hollywood Chef

Today, Las Vegas offers so much more, as the city keeps growing, they keep adding new exciting venues. I personally like show reviews with lots of singing, dancing, and filled out with a good comedian or a magic acts. Broadway shows have been popular in recent years. I prefer them as they are abbreviated versions of the original.

Currently playing: Phantom of the Opera, Jersey Boys, Stomp Out Loud, Defending the Caveman, Menopause, Godspeed, and Mama Mia. Other attractions that are popular: Liberace Museum that features lunch and a pianist that plays his songs. Check about the hours & times and there is a free shuttle from your hotel.

Circus Circus has an Adventuredome that is an indoor theme park featuring a variety of top attractions, including the IMAX showing: Ridefilm, Canyon Blaster, Chaos, Rim Runner and the Inverter. Also, there is a Carnival Midway where all ages can enjoy their favorite games. With 200 games surrounding the circus stage, there’s something for everyone. See the world’s greatest clowns and contortionists, all free of charge.

If you love fine art, then the best in Las Vegas is at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art. If you love fine food, there are many super Chefs that have opened their own restaurants in the various Vegas hotels.

This visit I ate in the Eiffle Tower Restaurant in the Paris Casino. I had the best French food with the best French service that I have had in recent memory. This restaurant should be on everyone’s list when coming to Las Vegas.

There are local restaurants I recommend: Rosemary, Swiss Café, Lawry Prime Rib, McCormick & Schmick’s, Sergio’s, and Margaritaville.

Go to Las Vegas and live!
